The second-hand marketplace Users Express Displeasure About Size Updates
Members of the platform have expressed outrage due to a modification that led to items being listed as the wrong size.
The second-hand shopping app has altered its measurement guidelines for women's and children's garments but did not contact all shoppers about the modification.
Online Platforms Response
Many shoppers and sellers are posting online stating that platform listings now display an altered size classification than originally posted because of the remapping.
The company said the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces.
They have suggested members to review their products and update the measurements by hand when needed, resulting in member annoyance.
Sizing System Updates
Earlier, the sizing featured numerical and alphabetical indicators, like S/8 or M/10.
The new system has a letter and a range such as S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," as the platform currently indicates.
Another user, from Glasgow, said garments she listed featuring size 14 markings were displaying on the service as measurements 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they're going to be very disappointed," she stated.
Necessary Adjustments
Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, explained she became annoyed due to the update requiring manual adjustment the measurements for "each individual item".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, since I have chronic health issues and Vinted sales have been crucial after experiencing income reduction," she explained.
Service Background
The platform boasts over 100 million members, with 18 million British users.
It has become a favored option to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance when a surprising modification on the platform has faced criticism: previously, Vinted reversed a change regarding delivery choices due to shopper criticism.
